Vedic Mathematics

Vedic Mathematics, uncovered by Shri Bharathi Krishna Tirthaji between AD 1911 and 1918 and acclaimed as the Father of Vedic Math, had its revelations documented in his 1957 publication titled “Vedic Mathematics”, delved into the intricacies of the 16 Sutras.

Originating in ancient India, Vedic Math offers a system of mental techniques (can be written too) that simplify solving mathematical problems, leading to faster and more accurate results.

The human brain has a natural tendency to recognize and process information in patterns. In many places calculations in Vedic Math follow patterns thus it shows simple and easy; there is no need for memorization. The numbers are written and spoken from left to right and so does this happen in Vedic Math.

Our Objective

Our core objective is to enhance mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities through Vedic Mathematics. We aim to build confidence in learners, enabling them to tackle mathematical challenges with ease. By promoting mental agility, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning, we support the holistic development of the brain. Our mission is to highlight the relevance of Vedic Math in modern education, while fostering a community of learners and educators. Ultimately, we strive to empower generations with strong mathematical proficiency, driving academic, professional, and personal success.

    Our testimonial

The difficult and troublesome calculations in mathematics were solved in an instant, and it was like magic.

Female, 7th grade, Aso district, Kumamoto Prefecture

It was impressive to see students who were not good at Math or English concentrating on solving problems. For the students, it must have been a time when their world expanded and their possibilities expanded! (Workshop in junior high school during English class)

    Female, Teacher, Yanagawa City, Fukuoka

It was my second time to participate in VM WS, but it was fun to learn a different calculation method from last time. I wish that I can continue to study.

Boy, 4th grade, Aso district, Kumamoto Prefecture

I was not good at mathematics, but I thought that learning Vedic mathematics would make it easier and more fun.

    Girl, 5th grade, Yanagawa City

Review Text was very easy to understand and I learned a lot because it seems to be usable in various places. I would like to continue using what I have learned in my studies at school.

Boy, 11th grade, Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture

I learned a lot from being exposed to Indian culture and ways of thinking. It was like taking a class overseas, and both the students and the teachers felt closer to overseas and wanted to take on challenges around the world. (Workshop in junior high school during English class)

    Male, Teacher, Yanagawa City, Fukuoka

I learned that there are different approaches to mathematics in addition to the calculation methods I learned in Japan, and there were various discoveries and surprises. I realized that even with just one hour of VM study, my brain was activated.

Male, Civil Servant, Kasuga city, Fukuoka Prefecture

I've been interested in India for a long time, so it was a lot of fun. I had heard about the wonders of Indian mathematics, so I was thrilled to be able to experience it.

Female, Nurse, Nakagawa city, Fukuoka Prefecture

I was not good at mathematics because I was more in the arts, but I was able to understand VM way of calculation slowly by using both the right and left brain. I would be happy if my child could overcome his weakness in math.

Female, Office Worker, Yanagawa city, Fukuoka Prefecture

The calculation method that I remembered so far was only one example, and I was impressed to know that there is a more natural calculation method. I would like to review and learn more.

    Male, Office Worker, Tokyo

I could feel that parts of my brain that I don't normally use were being activated. I would also like to know how to use it in our day-to-day life.

    Male, Aso district, Kumamoto Prefecture

Taking classes for 7th to 10th grades since Dec 2022 ... these hours have made huge difference to our students of late. Students are now multiplying sums orally. Thank you

    Principal, Madhyamik Ashramshala Wagholi, Pune

Indian-style calculations, such as squaring 2-digit and 3-digit numbers and addition of 4 or more digits, are very easy to do, and I would like to continue using them.

Boy, 9th grade, Yanagawa City, Fukuoka

With the Japanese method, there were a lot of calculation errors and it took a long time to solve, but using Indian mathematics, it was quick and easy.

Girl, 9th grade, Yanagawa City, Fukuoka

It took me a while to understand because it was a different method of calculation than usual, but it was a lot of fun. I'm glad to realize how interesting numbers are. I think I will continue to interact with numbers a lot, so I want to try solving them in the Indian style as well.

Girl, 9th grade, Yanagawa City, Fukuoka

I'm not good at arithmetic and have trouble solving calculations by hand, but I think it will be easier if I use Indian calculation methods.

Girl, 6th grade, Miyama City, Fukuoka

After learning about the Indian method of calculation, I realized that the world is a big place. I would like to know more ways to do it.

Boy, 6th grade, Miyama City, Fukuoka
